After all, what is better than pushing back on your cushions and getting your eyes on the best movies which are coming up in recent times? So look forward to the movies which will be released in September. It has been noted that some of these movies are indeed going to be the best, judging from the trailers. The movie buffs of the world are eagerly waiting for the ventures that are to be released in September 2022.

We have shortlisted some of the movies which are bound to attract your attention for this month. Let’s check out their names and the premises that they have promised in their trailers till now!

1. Cuttputlli

Akshay Kumar and Sargun Mehta are back in the field. They are coming up with their classic criminal thriller drama on 2^nd September 2022. The two police officers are looking out for an infamous serial killer in this movie. The movie has been set up in the surroundings of Kasauli and the shots which were shown in the trailer proved that the cinematography of the film is going to be great. 

Ranjit M Tiwari, the director of this thriller, has promised twists and turns in every single corner of the movie. The rights to this movie have been sold to Disney Plus Hotstar. Although it will be released just on the OTT platform, for now, the director has promised that if the movie receives favorable criticisms they will release this in the theatres as well.

2. Khuda Haafiz – Chapter 2: Agni Pariksha

Action thriller movies are becoming more and more common in recent times but there are some which manage to stand out from the common ones. Khuda Haafiz stars with Vidyut Jammwal. It is scheduled for release in September. The movie has shown a couple, Sameer and Nargis, who ventured into their life together. They find that their family is complete when little Nandini brings a beacon of joy into their lives. 

However, things start to take a devastating turn when Nandini disappears suddenly. We will not be giving any more spoilers as this movie was already released in theatres in July. This will be released in September on the OTT platforms.

3. Vikram Vedha

Vijay Sethupathi and R. Madhavan had been stars of Vikram Vedha which had been released quite a while ago. This time Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, and Radhika Apte are back in the field with the matters of Vikram Vedha. This movie will be released in Bollywood. The one which was directed by Vijay Sethupathi was released by the Tamil industry and it turned out to be quite popular as well. The movie consists of a strange relationship between a police officer, played by Saif Ali, and a thug, played by Hrithik Roshan. The trailer has been very promising and the movie is expected to reach the box office in Bollywood as well.

4. Brahmastra

This is probably one of the Indian movies the entire fantasy club is looking forward to. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhat have their names in the industry. The couple married just a few months ago. It has been a real pleasure to see their chemistry on the silver screen for the very first time after they have been married. Brahmastra is one of the very first fantasy movies which will be released on 9^th September 2022. 

Ranbir is playing the role of Shiva. According to the trailer, this is just the very first movie of a long-running franchise. There are reasons to have severe hopes for this movie. If it fares well among the fans, the franchise will move forward with better movies as well! And come on, when Arijit Singh will be humming the tunes in the background, there is very less chance that the movie will go south. Till 9^th September, we have to hold our breaths for Ranbir and Alia to work their magic!

5. Siya

Women have suffered from persecution against society for a long time. It cannot be counted whether the millennial years have been more painful or the recent stresses which are still pressed upon women. Manish Mundra has got into his directorial debut with the movie Siya which focuses vastly on the women versus society conundrum. 

Pooja Pandey and Vineet Kumar Singh are starring in this movie. The movie will be released on Disney Plus Hotstar on 16^th September 2022. The trailer has shown hope for the new director. We expect that Manish will shine in his very first movie!

Hollywood Genre

These are the names of the Indian franchises. Some great Hollywood movies are to be released in September as well. 

1. Blonde

Blonde is one of the upcoming films which has gained a huge amount of popularity because of the nearly perfect portrayal of Marilyn Monroe by Ana De Armas. Andrew Dominik directed this movie to pay tribute to the great American actress, Marilyn Monroe. We have to hold our breath till we see the final result of his works on 8^th September 2022. It will be released on Netflix.

2. Bros

Walking entirely on different steps, Bros is an American romantic comedy which will be released on 30^th September. The idea of this movie is to showcase the love of two gay pupils and how they have to face society to carry out their love for each other. It has been promised to be one of the first of the many gay romantic comedies to come up in the future!

3. See How They Run

Set up in the 1950s in London, See How They Run, is directed by Tom George. This slasher movie focuses on the death of one of the crew members of a play that was a hit during the time it was running. There are some puzzling bits in this movie and we would love to see how Tom George has uncovered each of the secrets, one by one. The glamorous world of English theatre has been brought out in each shot and the trailer has done a great job of increasing our interest in this movie!

Conclusion

Indian movies do have their charm. The industry is floating in the sea of ideas at the moment and most of these will do quite well on the OTT platforms. This is probably the time to ponder whether we have become too much dependent on the movie platforms that we have forgotten the joy of getting the movie release dates in the theatres. 

The movies which have been named already are the works of famous directors of the nation. They already have a great reputation when it comes to creating new content. However, how close are these movies to the masses of India? This is a question that will be answered within the next few months!
