We have all had certain expectations of our adult lives and how they’d turn out to be. One should have a stable career, a loving partner, and a happy family. However, one of the most important and fundamental parts of just about any person’s life is friends. They are the ones who would be there for you, right by your side, through thick and thin. They ensure that you are always good to go and if you are not, they stand by you to support you. So we can all agree that we have certain expectations when we talk about friends and how they should be.
It would be no surprise to suggest that these high standards also get perpetuated by the Bollywood movies that everyone so dearly loves to watch. The constant good times and parties of these characters have successfully made all of us super envious of them.
The epic Bollywood films not only deliver the best love stories, revenge sagas, and gripping dramas but also have no bounds when it comes to extravagant parties like you-only-live-once. So, here is a list compiled of Bollywood flicks that feature wild parties, complete with party anthems, that we just wish we could all be a part of.
- Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
You can’t claim that you didn’t want to be asked to dance to ‘Badtameez Dil’ with your friends at Aditi’s bachelor celebration. Perhaps you at least wanted to reproduce ‘Balam Pichkari’ at one of your Holi parties, as Naina and Bunny did, because it is the standard we now hold for having a good time with our crew.
We want to be a part of it because of the atmosphere, allure, excitement, and, of course, the fanciful location and the party hymn with all the hot lads and ladies nearby. One generation of desis has ‘Badtameez Dil’ as their ideal song for cocktail parties. Obviously, the song is fantastic but so is the atmosphere and aesthetic in general. So much so that several of us secretly wished we had also been invited.
- Dil Chahta Hai
The trio had our hearts, and their life and friendship aspirations became ours, as did their party ambitions. The three buddies’ dynamic and mathematical combination created a standard for future generations of travelers and partygoers. To attend such a party and dance with the three is the perennial desire.
The ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ trio was and is everything. Consequently, their equation is exactly why we wanted to attend this party! It couldn’t be more entertaining than this, could it? No best friend movie compares to this one.
- Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara
‘You Only Live Once’ is a reality in this film. From friendship aims to party goals, we wish we could join them on their sumptuous healing trip. Whether it was the largest La Tomatina Festival in Spain or a casual salsa dance party with Spanish dancers, everything made us want to be included in Zoya Akhtar’s film-like celebrations in real life at least once, because ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.’
Okay, so how about a party that begins with three guys watching an artist perform? in Spain? The Senorita party, to be honest, only served to further romanticize our dreams of traveling through Europe.
- Om Shanti Om
The pleasure of the ultimate star-studded gala hosted in the history of Bollywood cinema was seen in this film. The beautiful after-party of the award event honoring Om Kapoor’s debut success was attended by a lengthy number of Bollywood icons, including Jitendra, Dharmendra, Govinda, and several others, along with the most beautiful women alive such as Rekha, Kajol, Urmila, Tabu, and more. Who wouldn’t want to participate in such an event, really?
Any party hosted by Shah Rukh Khan is one we want to attend. Plus, he had the best guest list ever, even if he was only appearing as Om Kapoor.
- Kapoor and Sons
Are there even home parties for brown families? However, Bollywood is a place where anything is possible. There is possibly not a single person who would not like to be called to a house party where they’d get to play with and kiss their crush. However, where can we locate such events populated by young, attractive women and men?
We, therefore, decided to attend that party and dance to ‘Ladki beautiful kar gayi chull’ while dressed in our wackiest yet coziest attires. Not only is Kapoor & Sons’ ‘Kar Gayi Chull’ a catchy song but the party feels like something I would have liked to have been text-invited to.
- Kal Ho Na Ho
The timeless weekend party tune ‘It’s the time to Disco’ was released in the past. Let’s be honest, when we were kids, we all liked to see ourselves dancing with Naina, Aman and Rohit. Donning our prettiest clothes and dancing with our buddies as the entire club is in rhythm with our dance routines is practically like heaven on earth.
When this movie and song first came out, all of us often daydreamed about going out with our friends and having a good time as these three did. Although, admittedly, it was a little ambitious of us to think that all our friends would be able to mimic the entire club’s dance moves.
- Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya
Another glitzy after-work party where attendees dance their problems away to the remix of ‘Tamma Tamma’ while wearing chic attire. We’d be interested in attending that weekend party, by the look of it. Right at the peak of the weekend, getting completely drunk and then showing our best moves on the dance floor, forgetting everything for a time among the crowd of the club is a terrific way to erase all our concerns.
This Badrinath Ki Dulhania party made the list mostly due to the excellent dancing of Badrinath (Varun Dhawan) and Vaidehi (Alia Bhatt). Because, yes, we would like to partake in the fun as well!
- Desi Boys
Two Indian residents of London named Jignesh and Nikhil lost their employment as a result of the recession. They begin working as strippers in order to sustain themselves because they have no other choice. All goes wrong, though, as it causes issues in their romantic relationships and friendships. The ‘boys’ ultimately put their problems behind them and pull themselves together.
- Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na
‘Pappu Can’t Dance Saala’ has to be the most enjoyable and catchy party music ever made to be experienced with your friends. We’ve all done it: danced to the music with our high school or college pals while acting like we were in the movie scene, complete with party lights and food. We still want to enjoy ourselves every once in a while as adults, just like that wacky group.
Conclusion
Bollywood movies lucked into several wild parties that we all want to attend while yo-yoing far too hard. We want to create our own party songs to sing and dance to all night long, after all. Everyone enjoys socializing with friends. They occasionally get together in a café or a dining establishment.
Many people adore the concept of a house party where they can play games, watch movies or even just sit around and chat for hours. These have all seen movie songs that featured some of the greatest parties in Bollywood. The music, the choreography, and the aesthetics are just something we’d wish to be a part of.
